Enhancing Game Tutorial Logic and UI Layout
Part 1: The Problem This week’s challenges related to the game tutorial logic and the UI layout in our project. The code logic for the tutorial has been a struggle to test, due to it involving setting a player pref in the code to see if you have played the game before, therefore needing to clear the pref to test it again. Additionally, I was struggling to set up the UI in a user friendly manner with clear readability and understanding.
Part 2: Problem Solution I realized that there wasn’t much I could do to speed up my debug problem. However, I drew inspiration from other successful game tutorials as references to help me design the tutorial UI. By studying and analyzing industry-standard tutorials, I gained valuable insights into how to create effective UI layouts and instructional methods. This approach will hopefully allow me to ensure that players can seamlessly engage with the tutorial content and fully immerse themselves in our gameplay experience.
